LIAONING QIUSHI Conducts Full-Scale Work Safety Standardization Training to Fortify Safety Defenses

23-07-2025
To enhance employees' safety awareness and standardize operational procedures, LIAONING QIUSHI Silo Equipment Engineering Co., Ltd. recently organized the training program "Building a Solid Safety Line: Comprehensive Work Safety Standardized Operation Training". Covering all scenarios including workshop operations, silo work, and high-altitude construction, the training combined theoretical explanations with practical drills to strengthen the foundation of work safety.

Focus on Critical Protection: Safety from "Head" to "Body"

The training first highlighted the core role of personal protective equipment (PPE). Regarding the use of safety helmets, it specified the "three checks and one standard" requirements: before operation, check for no cracks, deformation, or wear on the helmet; confirm the validity period (≤2.5 years for plastic helmets, ≤3 years for fiberglass helmets); and ensure intact accessories such as liners and chin straps. When wearing, maintain a gap between the liner and shell (20-50mm at the top, 5-20mm around) and fasten the chin strap to prevent falling off, strictly prohibiting the use of helmets without liners.

For the risks of high-altitude operations in silos, the training detailed the "life-saving" role of safety harnesses: mandatory use of national standard 5-point full-body harnesses with corrosion-resistant, dust-proof materials and reflective strips for low-light environments. When wearing, leg straps must fit snugly without slipping, chest straps should be positioned at the sternum, and all buckles must be "double-checked" (pulled backward after hearing a "click"). Anchor points should prioritize dedicated roof rails or I-beams, strictly prohibiting attachment to temporary structures like ventilation pipes.

Scenario-Based Safety Norms: Covering All Process Risks

Tailored to the company's business characteristics, the training focused on three high-risk scenarios:

  • Confined Space Operations: Emphasized the principle of "ventilate first, test second, operate last". It required real-time monitoring of oxygen, carbon monoxide, and other indicators using 4-in-1 gas detectors, mandatory dual-person supervision during operations, and prohibited "wall-hanging operations" in grain piles, mandating anti-settling plates with a load capacity ≥100kg.

  • High-Altitude Construction Safety: Clarified the "high anchor, low use" standard for safety ropes, requiring anchor points to withstand over 2.2 tons of tension. During movement, the "one hook, one attachment" rule must be followed, with no unfastening of safety ropes. Six types of violations, such as "draping safety ropes over shoulders without fastening" and "sharing anchor points among multiple people", were listed, and correct wearing and anchor selection methods were demonstrated on-site.

  • Special Operation Protection: Insulating shoes and gloves are mandatory for live-wire work; goggles, protective masks, and dedicated gloves must be worn during electric welding to prevent electric shocks and burns.

Strengthening Emergency Capabilities: Practical Drills Build "Life Lines"

The training emphasized improving emergency response capabilities, specifying rescue equipment standards and drill requirements: rescue frames must have a lifting capacity ≥200kg, and medical hyperbaric oxygen chambers must be available for suffocation first aid. Quarterly high-altitude fall rescue drills are required to complete casualty transfer within 15 minutes; semi-annual "golden 6-minute" rescue drills for grain pile burials are conducted, and monthly 3-minute full-staff fire evacuation drills are held to ensure efficient response to emergencies.

Improving Long-Term Mechanisms: Rewarding and Punishing to Fulfill Responsibilities

To consolidate training outcomes, the company simultaneously improved its safety management system: daily morning meetings include safety briefings and PPE inspections; monthly audits randomly check operation videos; a hidden danger reporting reward system is established, and violators are subject to work suspension for retraining. "The safety rope holds not only safety but also responsibility to family and colleagues," the person in charge emphasized at the end of the training. All employees must eliminate 侥幸 psychology, supervise each other, and build a solid work safety defense line.

This training has further standardized operational procedures, providing a solid guarantee for the safe development of the company's silo construction, equipment installation, and other businesses.
